The Himalayan region has a climatic and
geological diversity unlike anywhere else on the
planet. As the highest place on earth, no place is
closer to the sun than this land of Mount Everest.
The fertile valleys of the Himalayas possess a soil
that is incredibly rich in minerals upturned from
deep within the earth during their formation many,
many years ago.
Because of the unique growing conditions in the
Himalayan region, more than 18,000 species of
exotic plants much like the goji plant is
supported, many of which are found nowhere else in
the world.
Even more amazingly, the Himalayan people have
found healing and health-sustaining properties in
more than 8,000 of their native plants. This great
wealth of knowledge did not come overnight; it is a
tradition that has been nurtured and passed along
since the very beginning of human civilization.
